The original east-west rail line in the area was built in by the Great Western Railway (GWR). It connected Toronto to the east and Hamilton to the west, following the Lake Ontario shoreline, passing through the then-rural Parkdale area. By , the population in the Parkdale area had grown and the GWR built the South Parkdale on: Springhurst Ave/Jameson Ave, Parkdale, . One small problem. you have to pay for parking. You park, walk yards and more to station where you pick up train tickets, we had already paid, but there you pay for parking and walked clear back plus yards to car to put in dash. And line stalled when we were second for some reason. Train was late starting because of long line.2/5().
